The start is at the sports and leisure facilities. From there, the Stoneman route leads down to Eggen. At Eggen, continue on the road to Fürgangen. After Fürgangen station, take the subway to the suspension bridge on the right. On the suspension bridge "Goms Bridge" the e-bike has to be pushed. After the suspension bridge, take the hiking trail for a short while until you change to the road at Cafe Hängebrigga. Follow the road to the Twingischlucht (before Binn). At the Binntal tunnel, turn right onto the old Binntal road. Now you cross the Twingischlucht gorge: "The deeply cut gorge used to be a difficult-to-pass section of the trade route over the Albrunpass to Italy. Today, the old path with small natural stone tunnels and rare plants offers a spectacular landscape experience". Then it's back on the road to the village of Binn. The route continues on the road as far as the field. Then the Goudron and Forstrasse alternate. Turn left before Freichi. Now there is a 20-minute climb. Then take the first forest road on the right. From now on it's down to Steihitta and then back to Freichi. From Freichi, take the same route back to Bellwald.

Weather conditions can change very quickly and without warning in the mountains. Appropriate clothing and sufficient provisions (food and drink) are very important. If the weather is unsettled, it is better to turn back early.
Carry extra sun protection with you. UV rays at high altitudes can be very strong, even under overcast skies.
Plan your tour carefully and in detail. Inform yourself in advance about the current conditions and weather conditions.

From Sion/Sitten: After leaving the motorway in Sierre, stay on the cantonal road until Naters. Then drive through Mörel, Unterdeisch, Lax and Fiesch. After 6 km turn left to Fürgangen. Drive through Fürgangen and follow the road to Bellwald.
From Bern: Take the motorway towards Kandersteg: Exit 19 Spiez/Faulensee. Follow the signs to the Kandersteg car transport. After the car transport, drive to Gampel/Steg. At the roundabout turn right towards Visp/Brig/Naters. Then drive through Naters, Mörel, Unterdeisch, Lax and Fiesch. After 6 km turn left to Fürgangen. Drive through Fürgangen and follow the road to Bellwald.
From Zurich: Take the motorway in the direction of Gotthard. Then take the exit to the Furkapass. You can either cross the Furka Pass (only in the summer months) or take the car train in Realp. You arrive in Oberwald. Continue until you cross the Mühlebach gallery. Then turn right towards Fürgangen. Drive through Fürgangen and follow the road to Bellwald.
Bellwald has two large car parks.
The Basper car park is located at the bottom of the village. This car park is free of charge.
The second car park is near the valley station of the mountain railway. There are two large parking areas here, both of which are chargeable.
From Zurich, Bern, Basel, Geneva or Lausanne with the SBB via Visp to Brig. In Brig, change to the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn and take it to the Fürgangen-Bellwald stop. There you change to the Fürgangen cable car, which takes you directly to the village centre. From the village centre, a short walk uphill awaits you. Just follow the signs in the direction of the sports field. This will take you to Holzer Sport within 10 minutes.
